The Lady Vikings fell short once again. Niles held on to a 7 point lead with their senior point guard, Kamryn Patterson, on the bench due foul trouble in the first half. Paw Paw chipped away at Niles' lead by outscoring their opponent 10 to 5 in the 3rd quarter. Paw Paw kept that momentum into the fourth giving them the win for the night. Niles' Amara Palmer led all scorers with 16 points and 5 steals. Kamryn Patterson chipped in 12 points and Brynn Lake contributed 4 points. Ellie Matlock led the Vikings on the boards with 7 rebounds. Paw Paw was led by Addison Ray with 13 points.
"We need to play both halves of the game. We loss our momentum in the second half allowing Paw Paw to chip away and eventually take the lead. Fatigue played a huge factor, however, we still need to play through it and show that we want to win." - Coach Jessica Johnson
