Niles continues their losing streak at Buchanan tonight.  The game was neck to neck until the Bucks went  a 0-8 point run during the third quarter.  Unfortunately the time expired before the Lady Vikings could fight back into the game.  Amara Palmer led all scorers with 17 points and 3 steals; Kamryn Patterson had 15 points and 4 assists.  Elly Matlock recorded a double-double with 12 points and 15 rebounds.  Natalie Lucero and Brynn Lake chipped in 8 and 7 points respectively.  Lake also pulled down 8 rebounds.  The Bucks were led by Hannah Herman with 16 points.

"We came into the game focused on keeping our energy up for the full four quarters.  I felt we accomplished our goal.   We had a strong offensive game besides the stretch of turnovers in the third.  We need to work on getting back and rotating much quicker on defense.  Elly Matlock had a great game tonight.  She battled on the boards and gave us some buckets around the rim.  Despite the loss, we will continue to work on getting better day by day."
