Niles started strong tonight with a 9 point lead goind into the second quarter.  The Vikings were able to maintain the momentum as they went into the half 28-20.  Niles came out of the locker room flat and Sturgis made them pay for it.  Sturgis outscored Niles 8-18 in the third quarter to take the lead.  The Trojans did not look back.  Despite the loss, Niles had an all-star performance from veterans Elly Matlock and Amirah Lee.  Matlock scored 15 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 steals; Lee recorded 10 points and 11 rebounds.  Freshman point guard, Jessica Thornton, chipped in 7 points, 2 assists, and 3 steals.  Sturgis was led by Carver with 14 points.
